Walking
If you are starting from the Lugano city center, head towards the lakeside promenade (Lungolago). Walk along the promenade until you reach the end of the lake, taking in the beautiful views. Continue along the pedestrian walkway, following the signs towards Paradiso. Once you reach Paradiso, turn left onto Via delle Scuole. The Museo San Salvatore will be on your right at Via delle Scuole 7. The walk should take approximately 20-30 minutes.
Public Transport - Bus
From the Lugano train station, take bus number 2 towards 'Paradiso'. The bus journey will take about 10 minutes. Get off at the 'Paradiso, Posta' stop. From there, walk along Via della Posta towards Via delle Scuole. The museum is located at Via delle Scuole 7, just a short 5-minute walk from the bus stop.
Public Transport - Funicular
Although there is no direct funicular to the museum, you can take the funicular from Lugano to Monte Brè for a scenic experience. However, to reach Museo San Salvatore, you would need to come back down to the city and then use the walking route or bus as described above.
