Walking
From the center of Lugano, start at the Lugano Train Station (Stazione di Lugano). Exit the station and head northeast on Via Balestra toward Via della Posta. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via Nassa. Turn left onto Via Nassa, which is a popular shopping street. Walk along Via Nassa until you reach the end at the lakeside promenade (Lungolago). From here, turn right and stroll along the beautiful waterfront until you see the entrance to Parco Ciani on your left.

Bus
If you prefer to take public transport, you can catch a local bus from the Lugano Train Station. Board bus number 2 or 3 towards 'Pazzallo' or 'Breganzona'. Get off at the stop 'Parco Ciani', which is just a short walk from the park entrance. After disembarking, follow the signs towards Parco Ciani, which will lead you directly to the park.

Tram
Currently, there are no trams operating directly to Parco Ciani, but you can make use of the funicular railway. From the Lugano Train Station, walk to the funicular station at 'Lugano-Castagnola'. Take the funicular up to 'Monte Brè'. Once at the top, enjoy the panoramic views, and then make your way back down to the city via the same funicular. Once back at the station, follow the walking directions to the park as described earlier.
