Walking
If you are starting at the Lugano train station, exit the station and head towards the main square, Piazza della Riforma. Once you reach the square, continue walking straight down via Nassa, which is a pedestrian street lined with shops. Follow this street until you reach the waterfront. Turn left and walk along the lakeside promenade, enjoying the views of Lake Lugano. After about 15 minutes of walking, you will arrive at the Gate on Lake Lugano, located directly on the water.

Public Transport - Bus
From the Lugano train station, take bus number 2 or 6 towards 'Montagnola' or 'Cadro'. Get off at the stop 'Lugano, Centro'. From there, walk towards the lake by heading down to the lakeside promenade. Once you reach the promenade, turn left and walk along the lake for about 10 minutes until you arrive at the Gate on Lake Lugano.

Public Transport - Funicular
From the Lugano train station, walk to the nearby funicular station called 'Funicolare Monte Brè'. Take the funicular to the top of Monte Brè. Once at the top, enjoy the breathtaking views and then descend back to the lower station. After returning, head towards the lakeside promenade. Walk left along the promenade for approximately 20 minutes until you reach the Gate on Lake Lugano.
