Once on the train, enjoy the scenic ride which takes about 30 minutes. Get off at the Como San Giovanni station. Upon arrival, exit the station and head straight down Via Cavour until you reach the lakefront. Turn right and continue along the lakeside promenade until you reach Piazza Roma.

From Lugano, you can take a bus to Como. Head to the bus terminal located next to the train station (Lugano Stazione). Look for the bus number that goes to Como. The journey takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at the Como bus station, exit and walk towards the lake. Head right along the waterfront until you arrive at Piazza Roma.

If you're looking for a scenic route, take a ferry from Lugano to Como. Head to the Lugano ferry terminal located near the lakefront. Check the ferry schedule for departure times to Como. The ferry ride takes about 1 hour and offers stunning views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Once you arrive at the Como ferry terminal, walk straight towards the city center and follow the signs to Piazza Roma.
