Car
If you're driving from the center of Nendaz, head south on Route de la Télécabine toward Route de la Mairie. Continue on Route de la Télécabine for about 1.5 kilometers. Turn right onto Chemin de la Piste and follow it for another 1 kilometer. You will see signs for hiking trails. Park your car at the designated parking area near the trailhead, which is free of charge.
Public Transportation
From the Nendaz bus station, take the bus route towards Sion. Get off at the 'Nendaz, Tracouet' stop. From there, you can either hike or take a local shuttle service (if available) that operates in the summer months. The hiking trail from Tracouet to Le Basso d'Alou is well-marked and takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Make sure to wear proper hiking shoes and bring water.
Walking
If you are already in Nendaz, you can walk to Le Basso d'Alou. Start from the central area of Nendaz and follow Route de la Télécabine southward. After about 1 kilometer, turn right onto Chemin de la Piste. It is approximately a 1-hour walk to reach the hiking area. Be cautious of the terrain and wear appropriate footwear.
