Train
To reach Schützenbrunnen from Thun, take a train from Thun Bahnhof (the main train station) to Bern Hauptbahnhof (Bern main station). Trains run frequently, and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Bern Hauptbahnhof, exit the station and follow the signs for the tram. Take tram line 9 towards 'Rüti' and get off at the 'Zytglogge' stop. From there, it is a short 10-minute walk to Schützenbrunnen.
Tram
If you prefer to use trams from Thun, take tram line 1 from Thun Bahnhof towards 'Steffisburg, Schloss'. Get off at 'Thun, Bahnhof' and transfer to train line S2 towards 'Bern'. Once you arrive at Bern Hauptbahnhof, transfer to tram line 9 towards 'Rüti' and get off at 'Zytglogge'. Walk straight along Kramgasse, then take a left on Marktgasse, and you will find Schützenbrunnen on your right.
Bus
You can also take a bus from Thun to Bern. Head to Thun Bahnhof and look for bus number 21 towards 'Bern, Guisanplatz Expo'. The bus ride takes about 45 minutes. Once in Bern, walk towards the main street, and you can easily navigate to Schützenbrunnen by following the signs or using a map application on your phone. It’s about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop.
Walking
If you are already in the city of Bern, you can walk to Schützenbrunnen. Start at the Zytglogge clock tower, which is a well-known landmark in Bern. From there, walk straight down Kramgasse, a picturesque street lined with shops and cafes. Continue walking for about 10 minutes, then turn left onto Marktgasse. Schützenbrunnen will be on your right, and you’ll recognize it by its beautiful fountain.
