Car
If you're driving to Gorner Gorge, first take the A9 motorway towards Brig. Exit at Visp and follow the signs to Zermatt. Once in Zermatt, park your car at one of the parking garages. Note that Zermatt is car-free, so you will need to take a shuttle or walk to your next destination.
Train
From your location in Valais, take a train to Zermatt. The Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) operates regular services to Zermatt, which is a scenic journey. Upon arrival at the Zermatt train station, follow the signs to the Gornergrat railway station. This is where you will need to purchase a ticket for the Gornergrat train (approx. CHF 92 round trip) or take a local bus to the Gorner Gorge area.
Gornergrat Railway
Once you reach the Gornergrat railway station, board the train that heads to Gornergrat. This journey offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. You will get off at the Gornergrat station and from there, follow the trail signs to Gorner Gorge. The walking path will take approximately 30-45 minutes depending on your pace and offers stunning landscapes.

After arriving at Gorner Gorge, you will find various walking trails. Ensure to wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for an adventurous hike. The gorge's entrance is well-marked, and you can explore the area at your leisure. Remember to check the opening hours as Gorner Gorge is generally open from 9:00 AM to 5:45 PM.
