Car
If you are traveling by car, start by heading towards Zermatt. Please note that Zermatt is a car-free village, so you will need to park at the Täsch parking area, which is approximately 5 km from Zermatt. From Valais, take the A9 highway towards Brig and then follow the signs to Täsch. Once you arrive in Täsch, you can park your car and then take the shuttle train to Zermatt. The train runs frequently and takes around 12 minutes. Once you arrive in Zermatt, follow the signs to the town center and then to the Grünsee area, which is accessible via a scenic hiking trail.
Public Transportation
If you prefer to use public transportation, take a train from your current location in Valais to Zermatt. Trains run regularly from various towns in Valais, including Sion and Brig. Once you arrive at Zermatt train station, exit the station and follow the signs towards the town center. From the center of Zermatt, you can either walk or take a local bus towards Grünsee. The trail to Grünsee is well-marked, and it offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
