Car
If you're driving from Sion, take the A9 motorway towards Monthey. After approximately 30 km, take the exit towards Châtelard / Emosson (Exit 21). Follow the signs for route du funiculaire. Continue on this road for about 5 km, and you will arrive at Le Châtelard Emosson, located at route du funiculaire 6, 1925 Le Châtelard. There is parking available near the attraction, but be prepared for potential parking fees.
Public Transportation
From Sion, take the train to Martigny. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once in Martigny, transfer to a bus (line 2) that heads towards Châtelard-Emosson. The bus ride will last around 30 minutes. Get off at the stop named 'Le Châtelard, Emosson'. From the bus stop, it's a short walk to Le Châtelard Emosson located at route du funiculaire 6. Check the latest bus schedules as they may vary, and be aware of ticket costs, which can be around CHF 5-10 depending on your route.
Cable Car
If you wish to experience the stunning views, consider taking the cable car from Le Châtelard to the Emosson dam. After reaching Le Châtelard via car or bus, you can purchase a ticket for the cable car. The cost is approximately CHF 15 for a round trip. The cable car ride offers breathtaking views of the Alps and is a unique way to reach higher elevations.
