Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving, head towards Zermatt via the A9 motorway. Take the exit towards Visp. From Visp, follow the signs to Zermatt. Note that Zermatt is a car-free village, so you will need to park your car in Täsch, where there are several parking lots available. From Täsch, take the shuttle train to Zermatt, which takes about 12 minutes. Once you arrive in Zermatt, follow the signs to the Leisee, which is approximately a 30-minute walk from the train station. You can also take a local bus from the station towards the Leisee.

    To reach Leisee by public transportation, take a train to Zermatt. You can catch a train from major Swiss cities like Geneva, Zurich, or Bern, which will take you to Visp. From Visp, switch to the train heading directly to Zermatt. Upon arrival at Zermatt train station, you can either walk (about 30 minutes) or take a local bus towards Leisee. The bus ride will take around 15 minutes. Be sure to check the local bus schedule for the latest timings
