Train
From Zurich, take a direct train from Zurich Hauptbahnhof (main train station) to Schaffhausen. The journey takes approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at Schaffhausen station, exit the station and head towards Bahnhofstrasse. Follow Bahnhofstrasse until you reach the first traffic light, then turn right onto Münstergasse. Continue straight until you reach the Munotstieg. The Munot will be on your left at Munotstieg 17.

Bus
If you prefer to take a bus, from Zurich Hauptbahnhof, take bus line 33 towards 'Zürich, Flughafen'. Get off at 'Zürich, Flughafen' and transfer to the direct bus to Schaffhausen, which usually departs from platform D. Once in Schaffhausen, follow the signs to the city center. From the bus station, walk towards Bahnhofstrasse, then take Münstergasse until you reach Munotstieg 17.

Train and Walk
Take a train from Zurich Hauptbahnhof to Schaffhausen as mentioned earlier. After arriving at Schaffhausen, instead of taking public transport, you can enjoy a scenic walk. Exit the train station, and head towards the Old Town. Follow the pedestrian paths leading towards the Munot fortress, which is about a 15-minute walk from the station. Make sure to take in the historic sights along the way.
