Getting There

  • Walking

    Start at the Tursunzoda city center near the central park. Head south towards the main road, and follow the signs leading to Dushanbe. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit to the right onto the A-370 road. Keep walking straight for approximately 10 kilometers; you will pass various shops and local eateries on your way. Once you arrive at the outskirts of Dushanbe, look for Ismoil Somoni Avenue. The National Museum of Tajikistan will be on your left at the intersection of Ismoil Somoni Avenue and the A-370 road.

    From the Tursunzoda bus station, take a minibus (marshrutka) heading to Dushanbe. The fare is usually around 5 TJS. Inform the driver you want to get off at Ismoil Somoni Avenue. The ride will take about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive, the National Museum of Tajikistan will be a short walk from your drop-off point. Head east on Ismoil Somoni Avenue, and you will see the museum on your left.
