Public Transport
From Vahdat, head to the nearest bus station. Board a bus heading towards Dushanbe. Inform the driver you want to get off at the Eshkashem turn-off. Once you arrive at the turn-off, you will need to walk approximately 5 kilometers towards Eshkashem. Follow the signs leading to Yamchun Fort. Note that the road may be unpaved, so wear comfortable shoes.
Walking
If you prefer to walk from Vahdat, start by heading north towards the main road. Follow the road signs directing you towards Eshkashem. This is a long walk, approximately 80 kilometers, so be prepared for a full day's hike. Bring plenty of water and snacks. Once you reach Eshkashem, ask locals for directions to Yamchun Fort, which is about 10 kilometers further.
Taxi or Ride-Sharing
Find a local taxi or use a ride-sharing app to request a ride to Eshkashem. Share your destination, Yamchun Fort, with the driver. The journey is roughly 1.5 hours depending on traffic. Once dropped off in Eshkashem, you may need to walk a short distance or ask locals for the best route to the fort.
