From Bukoba town center, head towards the main road, which is known as Sokoine Road. Walk along Sokoine Road in the direction of the bus terminal. After about 500 meters, you will reach the bus terminal area. Keep walking straight until you reach the junction with the road leading to Busimbe B. Turn left at the junction. Continue walking on this road for approximately 1 kilometer. You will pass by various local shops and small eateries. Keep an eye on the signs or ask locals for directions to Umura Rocks as you walk. After about 15-20 minutes of walking, you should see signs leading you to Umura Rocks on your right. Follow the path indicated by the signs.

If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Bukoba. Start your journey on Sokoine Road, cycling towards the bus terminal. After about 500 meters, veer left at the junction towards Busimbe B. Continue cycling for approximately 1 kilometer. Be cautious as you navigate the road as it may have local traffic. Look for signs indicating Umura Rocks on your right after about 15-20 minutes. Follow the path from the main road to reach the rocks.

Motorbike Taxi (Boda Boda)
For a quicker option, you can take a motorbike taxi, commonly known as a 'boda boda'. From any location in Bukoba, simply ask a local for the nearest boda boda stand. Once you find one, tell the driver to take you to Umura Rocks in Busimbe B. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to agree on the fare before starting your journey. The driver will drop you off at the closest point to Umura Rocks, from where you can walk to the site.
