Kikuyu Dodoma: A Unique Clothing Haven

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the Dodoma City Centre, head south on Sokoine Road. Walk for approximately 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Nyerere Road. Turn left onto Nyerere Road and continue for about 500 meters. You will then come to a roundabout. Take the second exit onto Uhuru Road and walk for another 700 meters. As you walk, keep an eye out for local shops and landmarks to guide you. After passing the Dodoma Central Market on your left, continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the Kikuyu area. Look for the RP4J+QP6 location, which should be on your right.

• Public Transport (Bicycle)

  From Dodoma City Centre, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops. Start by cycling down Sokoine Road heading south. After about 1 kilometer, take a left onto Nyerere Road. Continue for 500 meters before reaching a roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Uhuru Road. Cycle straight for approximately 1 kilometer. You will pass the Central Market on your left. Keep an eye out for the Kikuyu area; the destination will be on your right at RP4J+QP6.

• Public Transport (Matatu)

  To get to Kikuyu from Dodoma City Centre using a matatu, head to the matatu stand located near the Dodoma Central Market. Look for a matatu heading towards the Kikuyu area. The fare is usually very affordable. Once you board, inform the driver that you want to get off at Kikuyu. The journey should take around 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Keep an eye out for the RP4J+QP6 location, which will be your stop.
