Public Transport - Bus
From Morogoro city center, head to the main bus station known as 'Morogoro Bus Stand.' Purchase a ticket for a bus heading towards Mikumi. The buses typically depart every 30 minutes. The journey to Mikumi National Park takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive at Mikumi, inform the conductor or driver that you want to go to Choma Waterfalls. You can hire a local boda-boda (motorcycle taxi) from the bus drop-off point to take you directly to Choma Waterfalls. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes.
Walking from Mikumi
If you prefer to walk from Mikumi National Park, exit the park and head towards the main road (A7). Follow the road south towards Choma. The walk is approximately 4 km and will take around 1-1.5 hours. Along the way, enjoy the local scenery and keep an eye out for signs directing you to the waterfall. Be sure to stay hydrated and wear comfortable shoes.
Boda-boda (Motorcycle Taxi)
After arriving at Mikumi National Park by bus, you can hire a boda-boda at the bus station to take you directly to Choma Waterfalls. It’s advisable to negotiate the fare beforehand, which should typically range from 5,000 to 10,000 TZS. The ride should last around 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic and road conditions.

Consider joining a guided tour from Morogoro that includes Choma Waterfalls as a destination. Many local tour operators offer packages that include transportation, a guide, and sometimes meals. Check with your hotel or local tourism office for recommendations on reputable operators.
