Getting There

  • Walking

    Starting from Moshi town center, head south on Boma Road towards the intersection with Uhuru Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Mweka Road. Turn left onto Mweka Road and walk for about 15 minutes. You will pass by several local shops and restaurants, which can be a good opportunity to grab a snack or drink. After about 1.5 kilometers, keep an eye out for the sign for Uhuru Park on your right. Continue walking straight until you reach the entrance to the park.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer to cycle, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Moshi. Start from the town center and head south along Boma Road. Turn left onto Mweka Road after about 1 kilometer. The route is fairly flat and should take you around 10-15 minutes to reach Uhuru Park. Be cautious of pedestrians and local traffic as you approach the park.

  • Public Transport (Dala-Dala)

    From Moshi town, look for a Dala-Dala (local minibus) heading towards Shanty Town. The Dala-Dala will drop you off at a stop near Mweka Road. Once you get off, walk towards Mweka Road and head in the direction of Uhuru Park. It should only take you about 10 minutes to walk from the Dala-Dala stop to the park entrance.
