Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Moshi, head towards the Moshi Market. Once you reach the market area, look for the signs or ask locals for the direction towards Materuni. Walk along Uhuru Street until you reach the junction with Sokoine Road. Turn left onto Sokoine Road, which will lead you out of the town center.

    Continue walking on Sokoine Road until you reach the junction with the B1 highway. You will see a sign indicating the direction to Materuni. Cross the road carefully and continue along the B1 highway for about 1.5 kilometers. Keep an eye out for local signage pointing towards Materuni.

    As you walk, you will start to see more greenery and the hills of the Materuni area. After approximately 15-20 minutes on the B1, look for a path leading off the main road to your right. This path will take you towards the Materuni area.

    Follow the path for about 1 kilometer, and you will come upon a sign for Materuni. The last stretch will be a bit more uphill, but it should lead you directly to the main area of Materuni, where you can enjoy the scenery and the local attractions.
