From the Mwanza city center, head towards the waterfront along the main road, Nyerere Road. Walk for about 15 minutes until you reach the ferry terminal at the shores of Lake Victoria. Here, you can purchase a ticket for the ferry that goes to Saanane National Park, which is located on an island. The ferry schedules may vary, so it’s advisable to check the times in advance. The ferry ride will take approximately 30 minutes, and you will be dropped off directly at the park entrance.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Mwanza. Start at the Mwanza city center and cycle towards the waterfront along Nyerere Road. Continue cycling until you reach the ferry terminal. Once there, secure your bicycle and purchase a ferry ticket. The ferry ride will take you to Saanane National Park.
