Car
If you are driving, start from the nearest main town, such as Mbeya. Head southeast on the A104 road towards Makambako. After approximately 40 km, turn left onto a smaller road leading to Makeje. Follow this road for about 20 km, and you will find signs directing you to Kapologwe Waterfall. The parking area is located near the base of the waterfall, and there may be a small fee for parking.
Public Transport
You can take a bus from Mbeya to Makambako. Buses frequently leave from the Mbeya bus station. The journey will take around 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive in Makambako, you can hire a taxi to take you to the waterfall. Agree on the fare beforehand; it should be around 20,000 TZS. The taxi ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Alternatively, you can look for shared dala-dalas (minibuses) that operate in the area.
Walking
If you are already in the vicinity of Makeje, you can choose to walk to Kapologwe Waterfall. The walk can take about 1 to 2 hours depending on your pace. Follow local paths leading to the waterfall; it is advisable to ask locals for directions to ensure you stay on track. Be prepared for rugged terrain and carry enough water for the hike.
