Car
If you are driving from Mbeya, take the A104 highway heading east towards the border of Rwanda. After approximately 150 kilometers, you will reach a junction where you should turn left onto the B1 road. Follow the B1 for about 30 kilometers until you see signs for Rusumo Falls. The falls are located near the border, and parking is available nearby.

Public Transportation
To reach Rusumo Falls via public transportation, start from Mbeya by taking a bus or a shared taxi (dala dala) heading to the town of Kyela. Once in Kyela, switch to a minibus or a motorbike taxi that goes to Rusumo Falls. Confirm with the driver that they will drop you near the falls. The total travel time will be around 3-4 hours depending on connections.

If you are already in the vicinity of Rusumo, you may consider walking to the falls. From the nearest village, ask locals for directions to the falls, as there are footpaths leading there. This walk can take about 30-60 minutes depending on your starting point.

For a more adventurous option, you can hire a motorbike taxi (piki piki) from nearby towns or villages. Ensure to negotiate the fare beforehand, which should be around 10,000 to 20,000 TZS depending on your starting point.
