Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from the center of the Hatchie River Area, head southwest on TN-76 W. Continue for about 10 miles until you reach the junction with US-45 S. Merge onto US-45 S and continue for approximately 15 miles. Take the exit toward TN-100 W and turn left onto TN-100 W. After about 2 miles, you will see the signs for Chickasaw State Park. Turn right onto Cabin Lane, and the park entrance will be on your left at 20 Cabin Ln, Henderson, TN 38340.

• Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, first check the local bus service for routes that connect to Henderson. You may need to take a bus to Jackson, TN, and from there, transfer to a bus heading towards Henderson. Once you arrive in Henderson, you can either take a taxi or rideshare service to Chickasaw State Park, which is about 8 miles away. Make sure to check the bus schedules in advance, as service may be limited.

• Biking

  For those who are adventurous and looking to bike, you can start from the Hatchie River Area and take TN-76 W towards Henderson. This route is approximately 10 miles long and will take you through scenic landscapes. Ensure you have a good map or GPS device, as the roads can be busy. Remember to wear a helmet and follow all traffic laws.

• Walking

  Walking to Chickasaw State Park from the Hatchie River Area is not practical due to the distance of approximately 10 miles and the lack of pedestrian pathways. It is highly recommended to use a car, bike, or public transportation for safety and convenience.
