    If you are starting from the Knoxville Visitor Center located at 301 S Gay St, Knoxville, TN 37902, head east on W Church Ave towards S Gay St. Continue walking straight for about 0.3 miles until you reach S Gay St. Turn left onto S Gay St and walk for about 0.2 miles. Then, take a right onto E Hill Ave. After walking for about 0.1 miles, you will see the James White Fort Association at 205 E Hill Ave on your left.

    From the Knoxville Convention Center, head to the bus stop located at 701 Henley St. You can take the Knoxville T bus route 11 (West Knoxville) towards West Town Mall. After about 10 minutes, get off at the stop at E Hill Ave and S Gay St. From there, walk east on E Hill Ave for about 0.2 miles. The James White Fort Association will be located at 205 E Hill Ave on your right.

  • Bicycle

    If you have access to a bicycle, you can start at the Knoxville Urban Wilderness. Follow the greenway towards the Tennessee River, then head north on S Gay St. Continue straight for about 1 mile until you reach E Hill Ave. Turn left onto E Hill Ave and bike for about 0.2 miles.
