Getting There

• Public Transit - Bus

  To reach the Metal Museum using public transit, start by locating the nearest bus stop. If you are near downtown Memphis, head to the Main Street Trolley stop and take the trolley towards the southern end. Transfer to the MATA bus #2 (South Memphis) at the Main Street & Peabody Place stop. Ensure you have a bus pass or cash for the fare. Ride the bus for approximately 25 minutes, and get off at the Metal Museum stop on Metal Museum Drive. The museum will be a short walk from the bus stop, located at 374 Metal Museum Dr. Make sure to check the MATA schedule for bus times.

  If you are staying nearby in the South Main Historic Arts District, you can walk to the Metal Museum. Head south on S Main St toward E G.E. Patterson Ave. Continue straight onto S 4th St. After about 0.5 miles, turn left onto E McLemore Ave and continue for about 0.6 miles. Turn right onto Metal Museum Dr, and you will find the museum at 374 Metal Museum Dr. The walk is approximately 1.2 miles and will take around 25 minutes.

  For a more direct route, consider using a ride-sharing service like Uber or Lyft. Open the app on your smartphone and enter 'Metal Museum' as your destination. If you are in downtown Memphis, it should take about 10-15 minutes to arrive, depending on traffic. The drop-off point will be right in front of the museum located at 374 Metal Museum Dr.
