Getting There

• Public Bus

  If you're starting from downtown Memphis, head to the Main Street Trolley station located at 125 S Main St. Take the trolley heading south to the South Main Street stop. From there, transfer to the MATA bus line 6 towards 'Downtown Memphis'. Get off at the 'Adams Ave & 7th St' stop. Walk west along Adams Ave for about 3 blocks until you reach 690 Adams Ave, where The James Lee House is located.

• Bicycle

  You can rent a bicycle from a local bike-sharing service available around downtown. Start at the bicycle station nearest to you and select a bike. Head south on S Main St, then turn right onto E Beale St. Continue until you reach S 7th St, then make a left. Follow S 7th St until you reach Adams Ave, then turn right. The James Lee House will be on your left at 690 Adams Ave.

  If you're near the Mississippi River Park, exit the park area and head east on W Riverside Dr toward S Front St. Turn left onto S Front St and walk north until you reach E Beale St. Turn right on E Beale St and continue until you hit S 7th St. Turn left on S 7th St, and walk until you reach Adams Ave. Turn right on Adams Ave, and The James Lee House will be at 690 Adams Ave, just a short walk from there.
