From the center of Murfreesboro, head to the nearest bus stop on East Main Street. Catch the Route 1 bus towards Nashville. Stay on the bus until you reach the stop at the intersection of Old Hickory Blvd and Farrell Pkwy. After disembarking, walk south on Farrell Parkway for about 0.5 miles. The Historic Travellers Rest Historic House Museum will be on your right at 636 Farrell Pkwy.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Murfreesboro. Start your journey by heading south on Broad Street, then turn left onto Old Fort Parkway. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with South Church Street. Turn right and follow South Church Street as it turns into Old Hickory Boulevard. Continue onto Farrell Parkway for approximately 3 miles until you reach the Historic Travellers Rest Historic House Museum, which will be on your left at 636 Farrell Pkwy.

For those who enjoy walking, you can start from the Murfreesboro Square. Head south on Main Street towards East Main Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Broad Street, then turn right. Walk straight until you reach Old Fort Parkway, then turn left. Continue walking along Old Fort Parkway for about 2.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Farrell Parkway. Turn right onto Farrell Parkway, and after about 0.5 miles, you will see the Historic Travellers Rest Historic House Museum on your right at 636 Farrell Pkwy.
