If you're starting from the heart of East Nashville, head west on Eastland Avenue towards Gallatin Avenue. Once you reach Gallatin Avenue, turn left and continue south. After about 0.5 miles, you'll reach the intersection with East Trinity Lane. Cross over to the other side and continue straight until you reach Fort Negley Boulevard. Turn right onto Fort Negley Boulevard, and you will see the entrance to Fort Negley on your left after about a quarter-mile. The entire walk should take approximately 30-40 minutes depending on your pace.

From East Nashville, make your way to the nearest bus stop on Gallatin Avenue. You can catch the MTA Bus #5 towards the Music City Central. Ride for about 15 minutes and get off at the stop for Fort Negley Boulevard. From there, it's a short 10-minute walk to the entrance of Fort Negley. Be sure to check the MTA schedule for the latest times and any potential fares, which typically cost around $1.70 for a one-way trip.
