From any point in Oak Ridge, head to the nearest bus stop. Use the Knoxville Area Transit (KAT) bus system. You can catch the Route 20 bus heading towards Knoxville. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the stop at W Jackson Avenue and S Gay Street. From there, walk south on S Gay Street for about 5 minutes, and you will reach the Visit Knoxville Visitors Center located at 301 S Gay St.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from a local rental shop in Oak Ridge. Start by heading towards the Oak Ridge Turnpike and take the bike lane towards the west. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with US-441. Turn left onto US-441 and follow it south towards Knoxville. Upon reaching downtown Knoxville, turn right onto S Gay Street. The Visit Knoxville Visitors Center will be on your right at 301 S Gay St, approximately 10 miles from Oak Ridge.
