If you are driving from downtown Tri-Cities, head southwest on I-81 S. Continue on I-81 S for approximately 50 miles. Take exit 126 for I-40 W toward Nashville. Merge onto I-40 W and continue for about 120 miles. Take exit 199 for US-31 toward Franklin. Follow US-31 S for about 4 miles, then turn right onto Mack Hatcher Memorial Pkwy. Continue for about 2 miles and turn left onto Boyd Mill Ave. The Boyd Mill Ruins will be on your right. Parking is available nearby.

From Tri-Cities, take a Greyhound or Megabus to Nashville. Once in Nashville, you can transfer to the local public transit, Nashville MTA, and take Route 2 (West End) towards Franklin. Get off at the Franklin station and from there, you might need a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft to reach Boyd Mill Ruins, which is about a 10-minute drive away. Be sure to check schedules ahead of time and confirm costs for rideshare services.
