Public Transportation
If you're starting from the Amarillo Civic Center, walk to the nearby bus stop located at 401 S. Buchanan St. Take the Amarillo City Transit bus Route 1 towards the Downtown Transfer Station. Ride the bus until you reach the stop at 34th Ave and I-27, which should take about 15 minutes. From there, transfer to Route 2 and continue towards East Amarillo Boulevard. Get off at the stop near the intersection of E Amarillo Blvd and I-40D, which is about a 5-minute walk from your destination.

If you are near the Amarillo Zoo, head north on S. Polk St. until you reach the intersection with E. 34th Ave. From there, turn left onto E. 34th Ave and continue walking until you reach the intersection with I-27. Cross over I-27 to reach East Amarillo Boulevard. You should see the historical landmark along E Amarillo Blvd once you arrive. The walk is approximately 1.2 miles and should take around 25-30 minutes.
