If you're driving to Fort Parker State Park from any location in Blackland Prairie, start by heading southeast on the local roads towards US-84 E. Once on US-84 E, continue for approximately 15 miles until you reach Mexia. After entering Mexia, follow the signs to TX-14 N, and take a left onto Park Rd. Continue straight for about 5 miles, and you will arrive at Fort Parker State Park located at 194 Park Rd, Mexia, TX 76667. Please note that there is a $4.00 entrance fee per person.

If you prefer to use public transportation, you can take a bus from the nearest major city (Waco or Corsicana) to Mexia. Check local transit schedules for the latest routes and times. Once you arrive in Mexia, you may need to use a taxi or rideshare service to reach Fort Parker State Park, as public transportation directly to the park may not be available. The park is about a 15-minute drive from the bus stop in Mexia. Keep in mind that you will still need to pay the $4.00 entrance fee per person upon arrival.
