Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from downtown Brownsville, head west on E Elizabeth St toward the intersection with Palm Blvd. Turn right onto Palm Blvd and continue for about 1.5 miles. You will pass several shops and restaurants along the way. Continue straight as Palm Blvd merges into E 6th St. After about another half mile, turn left onto New Carmen Ave. Continue walking for about 0.5 miles, and you will see the entrance to Resaca De La Palma State Park on your left at 1000 New Carmen Ave.

  • Public Transportation (Bus)

    From downtown Brownsville, walk to the nearest bus stop on E Elizabeth St and wait for the METRO bus route that goes towards the park area. Board the bus and make sure to request a stop near 1000 New Carmen Ave. Upon exiting the bus, walk a short distance east along New Carmen Ave. The entrance to Resaca De La Palma State Park will be on your left.
