From the Bishop Arts District, start by walking south on W 7th St toward N Bishop Ave. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with S R.L. Thornton Fwy. At this point, you will see the Dallas Zoo signs directing you. Cross the street at the designated crosswalk to stay safe, and continue walking east along the perimeter of the zoo until you arrive at the main entrance located at 650 S R.L. Thornton Fwy. The total walking distance is approximately 1 mile and should take about 20-25 minutes.

Public Transportation (DART Bus)
From the Bishop Arts District, walk to the nearest DART bus stop located on W 7th St. Catch the DART bus route 724 (check the current schedule for exact times) heading toward the Dallas Zoo. The bus ride will take around 15-20 minutes. Make sure to have a DART pass ready, which costs $2.50 for a single ride. Get off at the designated stop for Dallas Zoo, which is clearly marked. After disembarking, follow the signs leading to the zoo entrance at 650 S R.L. Thornton Fwy.
