From McKinney Falls State Park, exit the park and turn right onto McKinney Falls Parkway. Continue straight for about 1.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Texas 71/Mueller Blvd. Turn left onto Texas 71 and merge onto the highway. Continue west for approximately 4 miles. Take the exit toward Lamar Blvd and merge onto Lamar Blvd. Follow Lamar Blvd north for about 2 miles until you reach the intersection with Barton Springs Rd. Turn left onto Barton Springs Rd. Zilker Metropolitan Park will be on your right after about 0.5 miles. There is no parking fee for the park, but be aware that parking may be limited during peak times.

From McKinney Falls State Park, you will need to first take a taxi or rideshare service to the nearest bus stop. The closest bus stop is located at the intersection of McKinney Falls Parkway and Texas 71. Once at the bus stop, you can board Capital Metro bus route 30, which will take you towards downtown Austin. Ride the bus for about 20 minutes and get off at the stop at Barton Springs Rd and South Lamar Blvd. From there, it's a short walk of about 0.2 miles (approximately 5 minutes) to reach Zilker Metropolitan Park. Please note that bus fares are typically $1.25 for a single ride, and you can purchase a ticket from the bus driver.
