Getting There

• Public Transportation

  To reach Mission San Juan from New Braunfels, start by taking the Greyhound bus from the New Braunfels Bus Station located at 1000 Landa St. Board a bus heading towards San Antonio, which typically takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the San Antonio Greyhound Station, you will need to transfer to a local bus. Catch VIA Metropolitan Transit Route 40 towards South Park Mall. Make sure to ask the driver if they can drop you off near the intersection of Graf Rd and Mission San Juan, as this will be your closest stop. From the bus stop, you can walk to the Mission, which is approximately a 10-minute walk.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer biking, you can rent a bicycle in New Braunfels. Start your journey by heading south on Landa St, and then take a right onto E Common St. Continue straight until you reach TX-46, where you'll take a left. Follow TX-46 until you reach the intersection of I-35. Use the bike lane to navigate towards San Antonio. Once you reach the area near Graf Rd, you can follow local signage to Mission San Juan, which should take about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your biking speed.

• Walking

  If you are up for an adventure and want to walk, start in downtown New Braunfels and head south on Landa St. Walk towards the Guadalupe River and follow the river trail until you reach the intersection of TX-46. This is a longer route and will take approximately 3-4 hours. Once you reach TX-46, cross the highway and continue south until you reach Graf Rd. Follow Graf Rd until you see signage for Mission San Juan, where you will arrive at the mission.
