Getting There

• Public Bus

  To get to the Angelo State University Planetarium using public transport, take the bus route that connects to the San Angelo Transit System. Look for the route that heads towards Angelo State University. The nearest bus stop is at the corner of Johnson Street and South Oakes Street. From there, board the bus and ask the driver to let you know when you reach the ASU campus. Get off at the main entrance of the university. Once you disembark, head towards Vanderventer Avenue. The planetarium is located at 2333 Vanderventer Ave, which is approximately a 10-minute walk from the bus stop. Follow the signs towards the planetarium or ask a campus staff member for directions if needed.

  If you prefer cycling, San Angelo has bike paths that can lead you to Angelo State University. Start at the downtown area and head north on South Chadbourne Street. Follow the bike lane until you reach the intersection with 29th Street. Turn right onto 29th Street and continue until you reach the university. Once you arrive at the campus, follow the bike racks to park your bike securely. The planetarium is located at 2333 Vanderventer Ave, just a short walk from the main entrance.

  If you are in the vicinity of downtown San Angelo, walking to the Angelo State University Planetarium is a pleasant option. Start at the Concho River Walk and head east on West Avenue D. Continue straight until you reach South Oakes Street. Turn left and walk north until you reach the entrance of Angelo State University. Once you are on campus, look for Vanderventer Avenue. The planetarium is located at 2333 Vanderventer Ave, which is a short walk from the entrance.
