If you are in downtown San Angelo, start at the Concho River Walk. Head north along the river until you reach the intersection with S. Chadbourne St. Continue walking north on S. Chadbourne St. until you reach the intersection with W. 1st St. Turn left onto W. 1st St. and follow it until you reach the intersection with S. Oakes St. Turn right onto S. Oakes St. and continue walking until you reach the intersection with E. Avenue D. Turn left onto E. Avenue D and walk until you see the entrance to the park leading to the Kayak Launch area. The launch point will be near the banks of the Concho River.
Biking
Start at the San Angelo River Walk, which is a great spot to begin your biking journey. Cycle along the river pathway heading north until you reach the intersection with S. Chadbourne St. Turn left onto S. Chadbourne St. and bike north until you hit W. 1st St. Turn left on W. 1st St. and continue until you reach S. Oakes St. Make a right onto S. Oakes St. and keep biking until you get to E. Avenue D. Turn left on E. Avenue D, and you will find the entrance to the park leading to the Kayak Launch area along the Concho River.
Public Transit
If you are using public transit, locate the nearest bus stop in downtown San Angelo. Take Bus Route 2 heading towards the East side of San Angelo. Get off at the stop closest to S. Oakes St. and E. Avenue D. Walk east along E. Avenue D until you reach the park entrance that leads to the Kayak Launch on the Concho River.
