Public Bus
From downtown San Angelo, locate the Concho Valley Transit bus station. Take the #2 bus towards the South Side. The bus will take you to the Southland Plaza. From Southland Plaza, transfer to the #3 bus heading northwest. This bus will take you to a stop near the intersection of FM 2288 and US 87. Once you get off, walk approximately 1.5 miles south on FM 2288 until you reach San Angelo State Park, which will be on your left.

Start from the San Angelo River Walk, which is a popular route in the city. Head south on the River Walk until you reach the intersection with S. Chadbourne St. Turn left and continue to follow S. Chadbourne St until you reach the intersection with FM 2288. Turn right onto FM 2288. Continue on FM 2288 for about 2 miles until you reach San Angelo State Park, located on your right.
