Getting There

• Walking

  If you're starting from the center of South Padre Island, head east on Padre Blvd (State Highway 100). Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Gulf Blvd. This should take about 15-20 minutes depending on your pace. Once you reach Gulf Blvd, turn left (north) and continue walking for about 0.5 miles. You will pass several beach access points along the way. Keep an eye out for Beach Access #12, which is marked by a sign. The access point is located at 3700 Gulf Blvd. Follow the path to the beach access, and you'll find yourself at the beautiful shores of the Gulf of Mexico.

• Biking

  If you have rented a bicycle, start at your rental location and head east on Padre Blvd. Continue straight until you reach Gulf Blvd. Turn left onto Gulf Blvd and follow it for about 0.5 miles. You can easily spot Beach Access #12, located at 3700 Gulf Blvd, marked by its sign. There are bike racks nearby where you can securely park your bicycle before heading to the beach.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Beach Access #12 using public transportation, locate the nearest bus stop along Padre Blvd. You can take the Island Metro bus service that operates along the main thoroughfare. Board the bus heading north and ask the driver to drop you off near Gulf Blvd. Once you get off, walk north on Gulf Blvd for about 0.5 miles. Look for the sign indicating Beach Access #12 at 3700 Gulf Blvd. Enjoy your walk to the beach access point!
