Getting There

  • Bicycle

    If you're starting from the Ayutthaya Historical Park, you can rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops nearby. Head southeast on Naresuan Road for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Phra Ram Road. Turn left and continue straight for another 1 kilometer. Then, take a right onto Phu Khao Thong Road, and you will find Wat Phukhao Thong on your left after about 500 meters.

  • Tuk-Tuk

    From the Ayutthaya Historical Park, find a tuk-tuk driver. Tell them you want to go to Wat Phukhao Thong. The journey is approximately 4 kilometers and should take around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. The tuk-tuk will drop you off right at the entrance of the temple.

  • Walking

    If you're up for a walk from the Ayutthaya Historical Park, head southeast on Naresuan Road. Walk for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Phra Ram Road. Cross the street and continue on Phra Ram Road for another kilometer. When you reach the junction with Phu Khao Thong Road, turn right, and after about 500 meters, you will arrive at Wat Phukhao Thong.

  • Boat

    For a unique experience, you can take a boat ride from the Ayutthaya Floating Market. Hire a boat and tell the boatman you’d like to go to Wat Phukhao Thong. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes as you navigate the waterways. You will be dropped off near the temple, where you can explore the area.
