Getting there

BTS Skytrain

Take the BTS Skytrain to the Saphan Taksin station on the Silom Line. From there, transfer to the Chao Phraya Express Boat at the Sathorn Pier. Board a boat heading to Tha Chang Pier (N9). The journey on the boat will offer beautiful views of the river and the surrounding landmarks.

Once you arrive at Tha Chang Pier, disembark and walk towards the exit. Sanam Luang is approximately a 10-15 minute walk from the pier. Head towards the Grand Palace, and you will see Sanam Luang across the road from the palace. Look for the large open space with the flagpole.

Taxi or Tuk-tuk

If you prefer not to walk, you can take a taxi or tuk-tuk from Tha Chang Pier. Simply tell the driver 'Sanam Luang' or point to a map. It is a short ride, usually around 5 minutes, depending on traffic.

Bus

If you want to use public buses, there are several routes that pass near Sanam Luang. You can catch bus numbers 1, 3, 7, 9, 12, 25, 44, or 508 from various locations in Bangkok. Get off at the stop near Ratchadamnoen Klang Road; Sanam Luang will be a short walk from the bus stop.
