Getting There

• Songthaew

  From the Old City of Chiang Mai, head to the nearest Songthaew stop, which is typically located at the Tha Phae Gate. Look for a red Songthaew going to Mae Taeng. The fare should be around 40-50 THB. Inform the driver you want to go to Mae Ngat Somboon Chon Dam. The ride will take approximately 1-1.5 hours, depending on traffic. The driver will drop you off near the entrance of the dam area.

  You can take a public bus from the Arcade Bus Station in Chiang Mai. Buses (green or blue) heading towards Mae Taeng will take you to Mae Taeng District.
