Bus
From Chumphon town, head to the Chumphon Bus Station. You can take a local songthaew (shared taxi) or walk to the station, which is about 1 km from the town center. At the bus station, look for buses heading towards Tha Yang, as they will pass close to Pak Hat Beach. The bus ride takes around 30-40 minutes. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Pak Hat Beach. The bus will drop you off on the main road near the beach.
Songthaew
After arriving at Chumphon Bus Station, you can also take a songthaew directly to Pak Hat Beach. These shared taxis often wait at the bus station or you can flag one down on the street. Make sure to ask the driver if they are going to Pak Hat Beach before getting in. The fare is usually around 30-50 THB. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes.
Bicycle
If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Chumphon. Head south from the town center towards Route 4008. The beach is about 15 km away, and the ride will take about 1 hour. The route is relatively straightforward: follow Route 4008 south until you reach the beach. Be sure to wear a helmet and stay safe on the roads.
Walking
If you prefer to walk, it's a longer trek of about 15 km from the center of Chumphon to Pak Hat Beach. Start at the main road (Route 4008) and head south. It's advisable to set off early in the morning or later in the afternoon to avoid the heat. The walk will take approximately 3-4 hours, and you will pass through some local areas where you can enjoy the scenery.
