    Getting There

    Car

    If you are driving, start from the Doi Inthanon National Park entrance. Take the main road (Highway 108) towards Chom Thong and then follow the signs to Doi Inthanon. Once you reach the park, continue along the main road until you reach the Doi Inthanon summit. From there, head towards the parking area for the Doi Pha Ngam viewpoint. The last part of the journey requires a short hike of about 30 minutes from the parking area to the viewpoint. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water. There are no additional costs apart from the entrance fee to the national park, which is approximately 300 THB for foreigners.

    Public Transportation

    For those using public transport, take a songthaew (shared taxi) from Chiang Mai to Chom Thong. The fare is around 50-100 THB. From Chom Thong, you can catch another songthaew heading to Doi Inthanon National Park. The fare will be around 100-150 THB. Once you arrive at the park entrance, you will need to pay an entrance fee (300 THB for foreigners). After entering the park, you can either hire a local guide to take you to the Doi Pha Ngam viewpoint or take a taxi to the parking area and hike the remaining distance, which takes about 30 minutes on foot.
