If you are driving, head towards Rayong province. From Bangkok, take the Eastern Motorway (Highway 7) towards Chonburi, then merge onto Route 3 (Sukhumvit Road) towards Rayong. Once you reach Rayong town, continue on Sukhumvit Road until you see signs for Route 344 towards Klaeng. Follow Route 344 until you reach Chakphong. The destination is located at HH59+M9G, Chakphong, Klaeng District, Rayong 21160. There is parking available near the beach.
Public Transportation - Bus
From Bangkok, you can take a bus from Ekkamai Bus Terminal to Rayong. Buses run frequently throughout the day, and the journey takes about 3-4 hours. Once you arrive at Rayong bus station, take a local songthaew (shared taxi) or a taxi to Chakphong. The ride should take approximately 30-40 minutes. Tell the driver your destination: 'Ko Thalu Beach'.
Public Transportation - Train
Alternatively, you can take a train from Bangkok to Rayong. However, there is no direct train service to Rayong; you will need to travel to nearby Ban Phe or Klaeng station.
