Tuk-Tuk
From the center of Kanchanaburi, head to the main street known as Thanon Saengchuto. Look for a tuk-tuk stand or flag one down on the street. Inform the driver that you want to go to Elephants World located at 90, 9 Wang Dong. The ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. Be sure to negotiate the fare before starting the journey.
Songthaew (shared taxi)
Find a songthaew (a red pickup truck with benches) at the bus station or along any main road in Kanchanaburi. Ask the driver if they are going to Wang Dong. If they are, hop on. The fare is usually around 20-30 baht. Once you reach Wang Dong, inform the driver you want to get off near Elephants World. It will be a short walk from where you disembark.
Bicycle
If you enjoy cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Kanchanaburi. Start from the center and head towards Wang Dong. Follow the main road signs directing you towards the Elephant Sanctuary and continue until you reach Elephants World at 90, 9 Wang Dong. The ride will take about an hour, so be prepared with water and sun protection.
Walking
If you're feeling adventurous and prefer to walk, you can walk from Kanchanaburi to Elephants World. Start from the town center and head towards Wang Dong along Thanon Saengchuto. It’s about a 7 km walk, which will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated as you make your way to the sanctuary.
