Car

If you're traveling by car, start from the Khao Sok National Park headquarters located along Route 401. Head south on Route 401 for about 13 kilometers until you reach the Ban Ta Khun District. Look for signs pointing to Nam Ta Lu Cave. Turn onto the road leading to Khao Phang and follow the signs. The final approach to the cave will be on a dirt road; be cautious of potholes. There is a small parking area near the entrance of the cave.
Public Transportation

If you're using public transportation, take a bus or minivan from Surat Thani to Ban Ta Khun. The journey usually takes around 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive in Ban Ta Khun, you can hire a local songthaew (shared taxi) to take you to Nam Ta Lu Cave. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand; it should cost around 150-300 THB depending on the distance and negotiation skills. Inform the driver to drop you off at the entrance of the cave.
Walking

For the adventurous, if you are staying nearby, you can hike to Nam Ta Lu Cave. From the Ban Ta Khun area, take the path that leads towards the cave. The walk can take about 30-45 minutes depending on your pace. Be sure to wear sturdy shoes, as some parts of the trail may be uneven or muddy.
