If you're traveling by car, start from the Khao Sok National Park headquarters located along Route 401. Head south on Route 401 for about 13 kilometers until you reach the Ban Ta Khun District. Look for signs pointing to Nam Ta Lu Cave. Turn onto the road leading to Khao Phang and follow the signs. The final approach to the cave will be on a dirt road; be cautious of potholes. There is a small parking area near the entrance of the cave.

If you're using public transportation, take a bus or minivan from Surat Thani to Ban Ta Khun. The journey usually takes around 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive in Ban Ta Khun, you can hire a local songthaew (shared taxi) to take you to Nam Ta Lu Cave.
