Getting There

  • Car

    If you're driving from central Chiang Mai, start by heading south on Ratchadamnoen Road. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Samlan Road. Turn left onto Samlan Road. Continue for about 1.5 km until you see the sign for Samlan Soi 7 on your right. Turn into Samlan Soi 7 and Wat Phra Chao Mengrai will be located on your left at number 6. Parking may be available along the street.

  • Public Transportation (Songthaew)

    From the Old City area of Chiang Mai, you can catch a red songthaew (shared taxi) heading towards the Nimmanhaemin area. Ask the driver to drop you off near Samlan Road. Once you get off, walk about 10 minutes south along Samlan Road, and then turn left onto Samlan Soi 7. Wat Phra Chao Mengrai will be at number 6 on your left. The fare for the songthaew should be around 20-30 THB per person.

  • Public Transportation (Tuk-Tuk)
