Walking
From the center of Mae Hong Son town, head towards the Mae Hong Son Walking Street. Walk along the street until you reach the intersection with Chao Fa Road. Turn left onto Chao Fa Road and continue walking straight. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you will arrive at the Mae Hong Son bus station. Here, you can ask locals for directions to Mae La Noi District or catch a local bus that may take you closer to your destination.
Public Transport (Songthaew)
At the Mae Hong Son bus station, look for a songthaew heading towards Mae La Noi District. The fare is usually quite affordable, around 30-50 THB, depending on the distance. Inform the driver that you want to go to Mae Laung Viewpoint. The ride will take about 30-40 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive near the viewpoint, ask the driver to drop you off at the closest point. Be sure to confirm with the driver as some may not be familiar with the viewpoint name.
Walking/Local Guidance
After getting off the songthaew, you may need to walk the last segment. Follow the path leading from the drop-off point towards the viewpoint. You might encounter locals who can guide you the rest of the way, as it may not be well-marked. Keep an eye out for signs or ask for directions to the Mae La Luang Viewpoint. The walk should take about 15-20 minutes.
