If you are driving, start from Nong Khai city. Head north on Route 214 towards Sangkhom District. Continue on this road for approximately 30 kilometers, enjoying the scenic views along the way. Once you reach Sangkhom, follow signs to Pha Tang. The Than Thong Waterfall is located just off the main road in Pha Tang, specifically at coordinates 18.0277559, 102.3655033. Look for a small parking area near the waterfall entrance. Note that some areas may require a small entrance fee to access the waterfall.

To reach Than Thong Waterfall via public transportation, take a bus from Nong Khai Bus Station to Sangkhom District. The bus ride takes about an hour. Upon arrival at Sangkhom, you may need to hire a local songthaew (shared taxi) or a tuk-tuk to reach Pha Tang, which is about 10 kilometers away. Inform the driver of your destination, and they will take you directly to the waterfall. Be prepared to negotiate the fare in advance, which typically ranges from 100 to 200 THB.
